the great fire of London at Pudding land when 277 acres were destroyed, then
during World War II this area was bombed.
The City area is now deserted at night as few people live in the area unlike
earlier Victorian times. Bank area with the many big institutions, Mansion
House home of the Lord Mayor of London and still holds a small prison.
As you wander around Bank area marvel at the architecture the magnificent
creations of Wren from St Mary's abchurch to St Stephens Walbrook, which was
an experiment for the St Paul's dome. Directly south of St Pauls is the
college or arms, which received its royal, charter in 1484 and still
assesses family claims to British family coats of arms. And just down the
road is the modern day venue wine tuns this is an ideal venue for treasure
hunts to eat and drink and compare results.
