Treasure Hunts and Scavenger Hunts in Ascot
Deep in the heart of Berkshire, the town of Ascot has been occupied since the Bronze Age at least. Mention Ascot and probably the first thing to spring to mind as a corporate event is the Royal Ascot race meeting. Now though, there is another event that could be even more popular - the Ascot Treasure Hunt (silly hats optional!)
Despite being an ancient settlement, Ascot has a contemporary and vibrant feel. Sadly, only one of the Bronze Age Round Barrows of the earliest settlers survives today, in the grounds of Heatherwood hospital. The name is thought to derive from 'East Cote' on account of the town being on the east edge of a royal estate in Saxon Times. Ascot Heath was once notorious for the presence of large numbers of Highwaymen and other villains - a dangerous place indeed. With a variety of alleyways, subways and other local points of interest, Ascot is a great place for team building. The treasure hunt can form a complementary event to run alongside your corporate hospitality day at the races. For conference organisers, why not take advantage of the numerous impressive facilities in and near to Ascot, using a treasure hunt as a conference break to refresh your delegates.
Royal Ascot ...
Ascot races are somewhat of an institution, with the ladies sporting all manner of bizarre and flouncy headwear in an effort to outdo each other! The racecource itself saw the first royal meeting when it was established in 1711. Queen Anne decided that the heath was a great place for the horses to gallop at full speed and established the racecourse. The popularity of the Royal races at Ascot gradually waned but was successfully revived later in the century, with George III setting up the first Royal Stand (Now known as the Royal Enclosure) right at the end of the 18th century. Its longest established race is the Gold Cup, inaugurated in 1838. So why not gallop your way to Ascot for your next corporate away day or team building ...

Your Ascot Treasure Hunt ...
The Ascot treasure hunt or scavenger hunt takes place either on foot in Ascot itself or by car, outside of the city, where you will explore the local villages in order to find the answers and complete the tasks. The hunt can be fully personalised - if you need a specific start and finish location, or a specific slant, tell us!
Both the car and on foot treasure hunt will require careful planning by the team before you set off, in order to collect sufficient answers and to avoid heavy time penalties. There are always far more clues than your team could possibly answer in the time available.
The treasure hunt is great too for private individuals and charity organisations. It is also rapidly taking over from the 'weekend in Prague' becoming the new generation of stag and hen event, the perfect daytime activity for a weekend 'do' or birthday celebration. They are fun, sociable and involve everyone - email your stag or hen enquiry from here.
We do not subcontract out our treasure hunts or scavenger hunts - we produce and deliver them ourselves ensuring you of a top quality event. We are contracted by top corporate entertainment companies to write and deliver their treasure hunts - Tips
